Spanning 11.6 acres (47,000 Sqm) of land, the Benchasiri Park also known as Benjasiri Park serves as a tranquil oasis in the heart of Phrom Phong, adjacent to Phrom Phong BTS, The Emporium, and the Emsphere shopping center.
The Benchasiri park honors Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s diamond jubilee on August 12th 1992.
In addition to its playgrounds, calming environment and beautiful trees, Benchasiri also displays an array of modern sculptures – the most grandiose being an enormous commemorative coin depicting Her Majesty The Queen’s image.
The Benchasiri park can be accessed from Sukhumvit road, between Sukhumvit 22 and Sukhumvit 24, and features a sports area, playground, and swimming pool for visitors.
Sports area
This area is perfect for joggers and outdoor enthusiasts alike, with its expansive court suited for volleyball, basketball, or roller-skating. On top of that, there are plenty of trees nearby to provide shade from the heat.
Swimming pool
Benjasiri Park is the home of a one-of-a-kind members only swimming pool. To become part of this exclusive group, you must provide two passport-sized pictures and copy your actual passport along with a medical certificate to ensure safety. The annual fee for this privilege is just 50 baht.
After completing these formalities, you will be provided with an official membership card – entitling access to the magnificent 6-lane (12.5 x 25 meter long) pool during any 15 baht session.
Playground
On holidays, the playground is bustling with activities from excited children! This space has an abundance of entertaining play equipment ranging from swings and slides to sandboxes.
